BlackOakArkansas.Net

From mid 2018 until September 2021, I had the extreme pleasure of working with Rickie Lee "Richochet" Reynolds as Webmaster on his website BlackOakArkansas.Net. This site is no longer operational due to Rickie's death.

The first time I saw Black Oak Arkansas was in 1971. I later met Rickie in person for the first time in Memphis during the late 1980s and at the Tuppalo, Mississippi reunion concert in 2003.

The site, a WordPress site with custom e-commerce code, closed shortly after Rickie was hospitalized with Covid-19 and subsequently died.

The video below was created after Rickie's death and posted as a memorial to him on the site.

"Tarawa: A Moment of Glory"

While working at AETN (Arkansas Educational Television Network) during the mid-1980s, I had the opportunity to produce the World War II documentary Tarawa: A Moment of Glory."

Being a Marine, it was an extreme honor to meet and talk with these men who had survived this battle and I will cherish my memories of them.

"The Spirit of ITV"

One day while I was working at AETN (Arkansas Educational Television Network) during the mid-1980s, Mike Motler, then assistant executive director, called me into his office. He showed me an article about music video being used in industrial video productions. MTV was just beginning and music video was the "in" thing. He wanted something similar to show teachers in Arkansas about instructional television. The result was The Spirit of ITV

"Energy on the Job"

Another production I worked on while at AETN (Arkansas Educational Television Network) during the mid-1980s, was Energy on the Job which went on to win awards. I was the videographer on this production.
